What is Pardall Games?

An archive and database of assets from PS1, N64 and Saturn games, a retro gaming interactive digital museum.

It's here for appreciation, preservation, reference and study: to see how the models, maps, levels, effects and sprites are built, assembled, composed. Compare them in the 3D model viewer or side by side in the 3D arena, look at textures, and play animations (character, monsters, NPCs and even level and environment animations). A website for fans of the games and of the PS1 and N64 art and graphics. Also, a valuable tool for artists and level designers.

How do I know when new games and models are published?

• Subscribe to the newslleter or follow on social media.
• Check the News page (and its RSS and Atom feeds) has the new game, updates and site's changes.
• See the Roadmap page.

Can I download the models?

Pardall Games is only for viewing, exploration, research and reference browsing. It's not possible to download anything.

If you want to download models, get them from Models-Resource.

Is there a dark theme or more themes?

Yes, open the More top menu, then Theme.

How can I contribute?

• You can contribute by reporting errors (click Report Error in an asset page)
• Helping out with labeling animations (the majority of model animations do not have human readable animation names, you can contribute by giving the list of animations and what they really mean, for example: "Cloud - Anim 001 - Buster Limit Break", etc. You can send by email or contact form, alongside the asset IDs, click Copy ID in an asset page).
• Contributors are listed in the About page.

I don't accept asset contributions, there's too many variables involved.

Is the website open-source? Can I get the source-code?

No.

Does the site make money?

The website and its contents are going to be always free and non-commercial, and everything will always be available just for vieweing, like you can watch a YouTube video of the game, here you can watch the game's assets.

There are no commercial intentions: Pardall Games is free and non-profit. Game archiving and preservation is hard work!

Who owns the models?

The models, textures and animations from these games belong to the companies that made and published those games. Pardall Games doesn't own them and can't give you any rights to them. Game and company names are trademarks of their owners, and the site isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.

Do the companies know about this site? Did you get permission?

No permission was asked or given. The content of the games are here out of appreciation for these games: to study, observe and appreciate how they were made, not to take credit for them. None of the assets here are sold, and no company endorses the site.

Nothing here is downloadable, it's only for browsing and viewing, like viewing an YouTube video of the game, for example.

If you own something shown here and don't want it here, the DMCA page says how to have it removed (an informal request is enough).

Can I use the models in my own project?

It's not possible to download 3D models or files from this website, it's it's only for browsing and viewing, like viewing an YouTube video of the game, for example, so there's no way to use the models in your own projects.

Where do the models and assets come from?

From the games themselves. The files are converted to be shown in the browser. Some are cleaned up (scale, facing, parts split, parts overlapping, textures and faces z-fighting).

Something is wrong or missing

Wrong game, wrong name, a broken model, wrong tags, missing tags? Use the "Report Error" button in the model's own page.

What is the theme Pardall 90s?

It's from my childhood and teenage years: I had a gaming news website in Brazil, PardallGames. You can still see it in the Web Archive: pardall.com in 2001. The logo is the original one. If you prefer something else, change the theme in the "More" menu.

Is it safe? What do you know about me?

• One cookie, for the model downloads: after the browser check, the site sets a session cookie so the models can load. It holds no personal data, isn't used for tracking, and expires within a day.
• The download limits keep a count of the models asked for per IP address, for a day, to stop mass downloading. An IP address over the limit is blocked for an hour.
• Your browser keeps your settings (your preferences througout the site) in its local storage.
• Cached models stay in your browser's cache so the next visit is faster. Clear the site's data in your browser to remove them.
• The host: the site runs on Cloudflare, which sees your IP address as any web host does, and may set a cookie for its bot checks. Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• The newsletter runs on Brevo: your email goes to them only when you press Subscribe, and the newsletter comes from them. Brevo's privacy policy.
• The forms (Contact, Report Error) send what you type to my email, through a Cloudflare Worker, with a Cloudflare Turnstile check against spam. Your IP address is used for the rate limit and the spam check, and the IP isn't stored. The message stays in my mailbox and isn't shared.

Any warranty?

No. The site and everything in it are shown as they are, without any warranty. Models can be wrong, incomplete or mislabeled.
